Mr Cockbain is a Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgeon at Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust, and Spire Hospital Roundhay. His practice focusses on weight loss surgery (bariatrics), the treatment of gallstones and hernias, and surgery for patients with hiatal hernias and acid reflux.
He specialises in minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery and has pioneered the introduction of robotic surgery for cancer, weight loss, and anti-reflux surgery in Leeds.
He is an integral member of the Leeds weight-loss multi-disciplinary team, and is a strong patient advocate. He believes in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and will take the time to discuss different treatments and help you to make the choices best suited to your individual needs.
